“Wow I literally just threw my kindle at that ending it leaves you screaming and wanting more!”
I don’t know where to even start here. The journey I’m on right now writing The Country Duet has been amazing and pushed me as an author. The facts behind the story…
-It’s Based on a True Story
-There is a Dave and a Hunter. Their adventures are one hundred percent true. In fact, I had to even tone down a certain scene due to its graphic nature.
-The story is DIFFERENT from an HJB book. There is a love story weaved into the tale of a young man’s journey at college. However, I wanted to write this book, so it’s suitable for a wider variety of readers. In fact, Hunter has a younger sister who is a junior in high school, and she told me she wanted to read the book. I made it so she could.
“There is romance, but the steam level has been turned down several degrees from what the author usually writes. That did not take anything away from how much I enjoyed this book. Wild Country is a fast-paced book, but it is well developed with lots and lots of storyline.”– READER

Some have it all.
Hunter Yates truly does.
He’s humble and kind, even though he has it all. It’s his small town roots that keep him grounded. He’s a simple man from a small town with a heart of gold. Perfection carved from beauty.
As he sets off in the world, it’s his humble beginnings that keep his boots planted on the ground. Hunter finds himself amidst a toxic relationship. He struggles to get out of it, but it’s his heart that keeps him from letting go.
All he ever knew were the ways of Sweetwater Ranch, until the day he left for college. The world is a brutal place and his heart and soul are one and the same with the wild country. A ranch boy, who has everything, but gives everything at the same time.
When it’s time to decide, does he go with his heart, or the worries of everyone else?
